About
Independent. Ontario-based. Migration only.
Northbound Geo is a Toronto practice run by a senior web GIS developer. We are currently migrating an 18-application Geocortex Essentials estate to VertiGIS Studio for an Ontario provincial ministry, and we do the same work for municipalities, conservation authorities and utilities.
Our background is web GIS and data applications for Ontario public-sector clients: React and TypeScript front ends, ArcGIS REST and Enterprise back ends, Python and AWS behind them. Migration is the whole practice now because every Geocortex estate in the country has the same deadline and very few people have done one end to end.
The ministry engagement is current and under contract. We do not name the client or publish its work.
Where we work
Ontario and Eastern Canada first, remote across the country. Your data stays in Canada and your meetings happen in your time zone. Headquartered in Toronto, with all work delivered by people located in Ontario, which meets the Buy Ontario directive definitions of an Ontario business and an Ontario service.
What we are not
Not a VertiGIS reseller, not a generalist IT shop, not a body shop. We do not resell licences and we do not mark up hosting.
How we work
Fixed price per outcome, written change orders for anything the assessment could not see, and your team trained to own the result. One senior person does the work, start to finish.
